This painting was painted from the point of view of the Cedar Grove trolley stop as the Mattapan to Ashmont High Speed Trolley heads for the ramp at Ashmont Station in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. Ashmont Station in Peabody Square ( pretty much these days referred to only as ‘Ashmont’) is the connection point to the MBTA Red Line subway and to local MBTA buses.
