The aging local trolley cars, part of the MBTA's Red Line, (yes, they're orange), travel through the neighborhoods of Mattapan, Milton and Dorchester Massachusetts. They serve diverse communities commuting into Boston. These lovely cars are not long for this world, not ADA compliant and impossible to buy replacement parts for. The MBTA fabricates parts or buys them from trolley museums. They are soon to be replaced by buses or a more modern streetcar.
